Fall Bucket List: Chicago Suburbs

There's nothing better than fall in Chicagoland! Whether you're looking for things to do with the family, or searching for a fun date-night idea, here are my recommendations for things to include on your Fall Bucket List:

• Five and Hoek is located in a quaint alley in downtown Wheaton and their seasonal menu is unmatched! My personal favorite is the Apple Jax latte. Enjoy is and then peruse the Wheaton French Market before it closes at the end of November.
• Oktoberfest and pumpkin beers are out, and lucky for us, the Chicago suburbs are a treasure trove for local breweries. Try a season brew at any of these local spots:
  • The Beer Cellar, Glen Ellyn
  • Penrose, Geneva
  • Pollyanna, St. Charles
  • Bubblehouse, Lisle
  • Noon Whistle, Lombard
• Trick-or-Treat at downtown Wheaton businesses on 10/26 from 10am-1pm! End with a delicious lunch at 302 Wheaton--an awesome family-friendly spot in the heart of town. 
• Don’t trash your pumpkins, SMASH them! Village Green Park in Glen Ellyn hosts a pumpkin smash on 11/2 from 9-11as a part of the city’s composting initiative. Fun and environmentally friendly!
• The Chicago area is great because you get the best of both worlds: Urban convenienve and entertainment AND small-town charm with wide-open spaces. Visit any of the amazing orchards in the Chicagoland area and stock up on some fall goodies My personal favorite is Kuiper's located just outside of St. Charles.
